·        Summer Contract Dates: 

·        Technical staff—May 27 through August 18, 2008

·        Actors-- May 31 through August 18, 2008

·        Musicians—June 6 through August 18, 2008

·        Fall Contract Dates:  August 10 through September 22, 2008

·        Salary:  Company members $250 (and up) per week for 11 weeks; Apprentice program is also available.  Staff, from $250 and up, for 11- or 12-week contracts.

·        Housing:  The entire RMRT company is housed in the beautiful Off-Broadway campus of cabins.  Company members are only responsible for a $100 security deposit and their own telephone bills.  Housing is located in the beautiful town of Grand Lake, and is a three-block walk to the theatre, the lake, and the trails into the Rocky Mountain National Park.  Fully equipped kitchens are located in every living unit, and plenty of outdoor living space is available, including picnic areas and hammocks.

·        Worker’s Compensation Insurance is provided for all RMRT employees.

·        All company members are expected to participate in all phases of theatre production.  All actors, singers, and musicians participate in the technical production of the shows.  This is an ensemble effort in every way! 

·        In addition to a company member’s main performing job, all company members will be assigned to a Work Crew for the summer season.  Work Crew possibilities include Box Office, Costume Maintenance, Set Changeover, House Clean-up, etc.  Work preference sheets are distributed in April, to help ensure that company members will be able to participate in areas that most interest them. 

·        Staff positions include those artists interested in working with our Youth Theatre and/or High School Theatre workshops, which run separately throughout the summer and culminate in performances by the children.

·        A Cabaret Show Fundraiser and other special performance opportunities are available for all singers, actors, dancers, and musicians.

·        The RMRT Company will consist of approximately 16 actor/singer/performers, and 5 musicians.  The Artistic and Production Staff includes Directors, Choreographers, Music Directors, Scenic & Lighting Designer, Technical Production Assistant, Costume Designer, Wardrobe/Costume Assistant, and Youth Theatre Workshop staff.  Local Guest Artists participate by audition, as needed each year.

·        Company organized trips to participate in white-water rafting, horseback riding, mountain climbing, and other adventures are available, frequently free for company members, or otherwise for a small participation fee.

·        The Town of Grand Lake is located 1 ½ hours northwest of Denver, 2 hours from Steamboat Springs, 2 hours from Vail, 2 hours from Boulder, and 4 hours from Aspen.

·        The weather at an altitude of 8,376 feet during the summer is fantastic!  There is no humidity and the temperatures range from 40 degrees in the morning to 75 or 80 degrees during the peak of the day.  It is not uncommon to see snow in the early weeks of June!

·        Transportation to and from Colorado is NOT provided.   

·        An incredible summer of interaction with exceptional artists, local supporters, 4 generations of theatre patrons, and the opportunity to explore the majesty and spirit of the Rocky Mountains awaits you.
