2007 Shows

Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre's

2008 Season

Oklahoma.jpg

After 34 years, Rodgers and Hammerstein's joyous celebration of the American spirit returns to RMRT's stage! A heartwarming romance, a jubilant comedy, and a showcase for some of the most beautiful songs ever written for the stage, this time honored classic has something for the entire family and features such standards as “People Will Say We’re in Love,” “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” and the rousing title song, “Oklahoma!”

Urinetown

One of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, Urinetown is a satirical tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets.  Amid the colorful characters, a hero emerges and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown irreverently pays homage to the great American musical.

Big! The Musical

Based on the 1987 hit movie featuring Tom Hanks, Big: The Musical tells the tale of 12-year-old Josh Baskin, a frustrated boy who finds a mysterious arcade machine, makes a wish, and suddenly finds himself in an adult’s body—but still that same kid inside.  A funny, moving, insightful book and a dazzling, contemporary score by Maltby & Shire make this already-classic motion picture fantasy into an unforgettable theatrical experience.

This nostalgic show mixes drama, comedy, and ‘60’s love songs creating a lighthearted and engaging mix.  Four girlfriends gather to celebrate the upcoming wedding of one of their own. As the bachelorette party picks up steam, the girls discover more about each other’s love lives, real-life struggles and the everlasting strength of friendship.  With songs like “Baby I’m Yours”, “I Will Follow Him”, and “Easier Said Than Done”, love in the 1960's never sounded so good!
