JoAnn grew up in Eastern Washington on a wheat and lentil farm.  She attended Washington State and Northwestern.  She is a pediatric physical therapist with her own practice.  She also works for Horizons.  She primarily works with babies, toddlers and children with developmental disabilities.

JoAnn’s life partner is Diane Brians.  With their daughter Bailey, they have lived in Grand County for 9 years.

In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoor life that Grand County offers including: mountain biking, telemark skiing, water skiing and boating.

JoAnn began her involvement with the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre in 2000 when Bailey became involved with the youth theatre.  The program was a great experience which got JoAnn involved in attending professional theatre.

Her all time favorite show is Fiddler on the Roof, performed in 2003.  Having Bailey in the show as the youngest daughter, made the show that much more special!  JoAnn feels that our theatre provides great cultural events in Grand County.  Not only can our children watch and participate in theatre, but it brings many visitors to our county.  She is very proud to be a Trustee of the Board.
