Teen Theatre Academy Ages 13-18 $250
This intensive three-week program focuses on the craft of being a creative artist. Training in the area of monologues, scene study, audition technique, stage combat, dance, vocal study, and creative writing will be conducted by RMRT professionals. This program will also focus on preparation for high school and college theatre study. The workshop will culminate in three Cabaret-style performances including original material by the participants.
Youth Theatre Workshop Ages 7-9 $200
This two-week workshop is geared toward introducing and practicing the basics of theatre performance. Broadway song, dance, lights and music will fill this workshop and spark an interest in the arts for a lifetime. This workshop is designed to offer age appropriate vocal, acting and dance coaching and will conclude with three performances of Broadway song and dance.
Youth Theatre Production Ages 10-12 $225
This three-week program is devoted to producing a full length theatrical show. Audition technique, stage blocking and performance will be the focus of this workshop resulting in three public performances of the production using elements from RMRT's professional summer season. Show TBA.
We will take up to 35 participants for the Youth Theatre Workshop and Youth Theatre Production programs and then start a wait-list. It is on a first come first serve basis. For the Teen Theatre Academy, we will take the first 30 participants and then begin a wait-list. Again, ALL possible participants for the teen program must write a one page essay about why they want to be a part of the program, what their interests are in the arts, what they'd like to contribute to the group, etc. I will personally contact all those on the wait-lists for all programs in June as to their status. Thank you for your interest in our programs. I can't wait to see what these kids create this summer! Clare Haden
